why use me to clean your wedding dress?
My name is Ramsey, that's me on the left with my son Jake. I've been in the wedding dress industry for around 20 years now, from being a bridal shop business advisor helping many bridal shops open up around the UK, to helping some top dress designers in marketing their dresses all over the UK, to owning and running my own award-winning bridal boutique, to eventually settling in the job I love most, cleaning and restoring wedding dresses. I've been cleaning wedding dresses for around 8 years now and started up because I was fed up with dry cleaners using very harsh and extreme methods to clean bridalwear which often ended up not coming up fully clean and in a lot of cases setting major stains in!
After many years of research into the different fabrics and the different solutions and methods I could use on each fabric I started the UK's only hand-washing wedding dress cleaning service.
Having spent many years being a big part of a bride's wedding whilst running the boutique I wanted my new business to feel like it was still a part of the whole experience for the bride rather than an after-thought when it was all over, so I aim to give a very unique and personal service to each and every one of my customers by offering them a very special way to ensure their adored wedding dress was in the safest and most experienced hands and to also offer the very best customer care from point of enquiry through to the end product. I'm not a salesman by any means, I'm someone who knows and understands a lot about wedding dresses, who understands brides and their different requirements and needs, so I ensure when anyone contacts me that we have an in-depth discussion about their dress and work with them to ensure they get nothing but value for money along with giving them the confidence that their dress will be looked after and returned to them cleaner than they could possibly imagine.
Everything I do is by hand, often working with a small soft toothbrush around several layers of fabric getting to every stain and then hand-washing in very safe and harmless solutions as many times as is required to get the dresses looking like they did when purchased. One phrase that I never say is 'That will do' when it comes to getting these dresses cleaned. I am a perfectionist and I will tackle stains and dirt until I have succeeded. My success rate of getting these dresses absolutely spotless is 99%. The very odd occasion where a stain may not come out, I ensure that it is so faded that it would not be visible without extreme close inspection. These rare stains would also usually be up inside a dress and in most cases would not be noticed unless I pointed them out to you.
I get many dresses that people have taken to and paid a dry cleaner and they have brought to me to finish off properly as they were disappointed in the results. I hate seeing people having to spend twice the amount they intended to because they received poor service. My prices are often cheaper than a dry cleaners, especially when you consider I personally come to you to collect, I also box your dress to preserve for may years and then return your dress to you. If you love your dress, don't take chances for a few pounds less, it's really not worth it.
